Step 3 - Quick Capture™ Things That Hit Your Plate

Quickly capture things that hit your plate so you can keep focusing on getting the right things done.

Quick Capture is a way to quickly put calendar items, projects and related tasks into Foresight and Microsoft Outlook as they come up.  It allows you to make sure things won't get forgotten without having to interrupt what currently has your attention.

For example, simply tell Foresight about common words that would indicate that something belongs on your calendar - Like "Breakfast" or "Staff Meeting." Then, when things come up, you don't have to worry about "switching to the calendar" or "finding the toolbar button or menu command."  Just type it in:

Capture things the way you would do it.

You choose the most comfortable shorthand that fits the way you put things into your calendar, projects or tasks.  For example, the calendar keyword "Breakfast" can be before the colon:

or after the colon:

or anywhere:

Capture things when you want to do it.

You choose when you want to capture it.  If you are deep in thought, or busy with a project, you can finish capturing the item later - assuring it won't fall through the cracks:
